Do we get fewer amenities now? We sure do. And we have to pay for them. I’m not saying that we have to enjoy being treated badly as we travel in 2012, but there are so many things that we can do for ourselves to make the experience a lot more pleasant. And if that’s the case, what’s so bad? Americans, in particular, hate people who “expect” things to be given to them. Why should travel be any different?
